Welcome to the Ribosomal Database Project

The Ribosomal Database Project (RDP) provides ribosome related data services to the scientific community, including online data analysis, rRNA derived phylogenetic trees, and aligned and annotated rRNA sequences.

RDP Release 9 is now available.
RDP Release 8.1 (this site) is no longer being maintained.

RDP Release 9 is now available. RDP 9 contains over 100,000 sequences and is updated monthly. More info on RDP 9 can be found in the release notes.

The site you are currently looking at (RDP 8.1) has been moved to a new URL (http://rdp8.cme.msu.edu). RDP 8.1 will continue to be available for an indefinite period as a convenience to our users, but is no longer being maintained by the RDP. For the latest news, data, and analysis tools please use Release 9.
