Q: What does Alignment Slices do?
A: Alignment Slices presents a compressed view of (up to five) vertical alignment slices, with identical neighboring sequences represented only once. Differences in the nucleotide bases between adjacent sequences are highlighted in red. This output is useful for examining probe candidates, covariation, or for simply browsing a region of an alignment.
